Our 1st anniversary is right around the corner, and CJ and I are in almost the same predicament that we were in at this time last year. Last year, we knew CJ would have the January 3rd and the 4th off, but we weren't sure we'd get a honeymoon or not (we got a short one and we're saving up money for a big blowout trip to Europe in a few years, so it all evens out). Our schedules are wearing down on us, and we're already antsy and are ready to get away from everything. Right now, CJ has to work on our anniversary (it's one thing to be a 9-5 job, it's another to have to work 24 hours), but he's going to see if he can find another time trade. If he can do that, we'd love to get away.
We went on our honeymoon to West Baden/French Lick. The hotel was lovely of course, but there wasn't a whole lot to do outside of that -- plus, it's a bit pricey. And we were just there. But because we honeymooned there, we have fond memories, and I think we'd like to go back again someday. And although we didn't love our Tennessee vacation this summer, we both agreed the best day we had there was the one day we didn't leave the cabin at all. We also liked the idea of bringing our own food and grilling out, not only to save money, but also because eating fast food gets old quick.
So, this is where you all come in, because we need ideas. Does anyone have any cabin recommendations, probably in southern Indiana? If not, maybe you have a place that would be fun to visit, keeping in mind that it will be January? Any suggestions are welcome. :)

Eric and I honeymooned in Brown County and loved it (we got married in January too). A lot of places will have great deals, like buy a night get one free, mid-winter. Try Dogwood Hills or The Robinwood Cottage.
Lennon and I rented a cabin in Nashville...Antler Log Cabins. We rented "Absolute Solitude" It has it's own lake...we didn't leave there for about three days:). It's awesome.
