Minus CJ having to work on Friday, this has been a good weekend for us -- one of those with the perfect mix of having fun and getting work done.
Henry had a big day yesterday. We toured Barkefellers on the very, very far southside of Indianapolis. It's a new business that does grooming, boarding, and day care for pets. We realize this is partially ridiculous, but we've been considering it as an option for those days when CJ is at work. Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to send him there very often -- maybe only twice a month -- but it'd allow him to run out a lot of energy on those days and it'd acclimate him to other dogs as well. After our tour, we then took him to be groomed. Such little activity, and he was exhausted by the time he got home.
While Henry was at his grooming appointment, we went to the library's book sale. The library has this sale every two to four months to get rid of its extra books. It's a great deal if you love to read -- all hardbacks are $2, softcovers are $.50-$1, and magazines are $.10. I didn't get many books this time around (CJ did), but I did stock up on lots of magazines, including several Rachael Ray and Cooking Light magazines. (Check out the library's website at http://www.imcpl.org/ for dates if you're interested!)
We went to church today and then grilled out, digging into the giant pork loin roast we bought at Sam's Club this week (over 7 pounds for $11!) and eating our first batch of green beans my mom and I put up this summer. I'm pleased to report that CJ fertilized the yard and planted new grass. (Dad, you can quit asking now.) And I spent a part of the afternoon studying for my upcoming Accounting class.
So overall, a good weekend -- just needed to be longer!
