pb brownie cookies

CJ loves brownies, and he quickly discovered a new brownie recipe the most recent Food Network magazine.  I know, just what we need -- more unhealthy food.  But these brownies received an uber-quick seal of approval from CJ, so I wanted to pass the recipe along.

So, if you're still craving some sweet food after Thanksgiving, here's the recipe:

Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies
from Pillsbury, as appears in Food Network magazine
Makes 2 dozen

1 (19.5 oz) pkg Pillsbury Classic Traditional Fudge Brownie
1/4 C. butter, melted
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
1 C. powdered sugar
1 C. peanut butter
1 can Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Beat brownie mix, melted butter, cream cheese, and egg in medium bowl 50 strokes with spoon until well-blended.  Dough will be sticky.  (I don't have patience for this, so I used my electric beaters.)  Drop dough by rounded Tbsp 2" apart on cookie sheet to make 24 cookies.  Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together until it forms a ball.  With hands, roll rounded teaspoonfuls of mixture into 24 balls.  Press 1 ball into the center of each ball of dough.  Bake 10-14 minutes.  Cool at least 30 minutes.  Spread frosting over peanut butter portion of each cooled cookie.
