I think we've finally settled back into life as we knew it prior to the wedding ... well, at least prior to Thanksgiving, when it seems like everything got really crazy.
CJ worked Friday, so I spent the night lounging around. On Saturday morning, we made a big breakfast of crepes (using my awesome new crepe maker) and fruit. Saturday was supposed to be date night, but since we were out from 10:30 to well past 5 pm, we were tired of running. It was a productive day though... We went to my bank and our new bank, the BMV, Barnes & Noble, Dick's/the mall, Lowe's, BGI Fitness, and Sam's Club, plus Target and the pet store today.
Everything is going well with CJ's new job in Plainfield, and we think he's going to be really happy there (which is good, considering we're there for the long haul now). He'll probably find a part-time job sometime soon, not necessarily for monetary reasons, but to keep him from going crazy on his days off. In the meantime, we used some of our gift cards at Lowe's yesterday to stock up on wood and other supplies so he can start some projects for me. He's finishing a box, and then he will make a shelf with hooks for our entryway, a stepstool for the kitchen, a utensil tray, and shelves for our bedroom closet (there's way too much unused space at the top and not enough room for all my shoes!).
Bridget is doing well. She finally took notice of the fish this past week. It's quite funny how she tries to get at them -- and how they come to her too -- but she just can't seem to get past that glass barrier. And she's also noticed the outside too, and will spend hours on end in behind the curtains at the patio door staring at absolutely nothing.
As a quick side note, I added some new links to the left -- Cake Wrecks and my friend Emily's blog (words & maps & lines & glue).
I better close up here for now. Instead of having a lesson, our small group is meeting to watch Fireproof tonight, so we should probably start to get ready for that.
