I felt like I'd pretty much mastered sewing a square pillowcase, so I've moved on to bigger and better shapes -- pentagons and hexagons. I made this ball for our friends' son's first birthday party a month ago. I was fairly pleased with how it turned out, although it did call for an invisible seam -- which I definitely don't know how to do. But then I figured that he was one year old and probably wouldn't notice the difference.
My trusty friend, Bridget, also found a new hiding spot in my sewing desk, so she stood watch while I finished up the project.
