spring break is here!

Spring break is here -- for CJ, at least.  I get a week off in between classes here in a few weeks, so I guess I'll call that my spring break.  I didn't realize this until I was talking to my mom the other night, but I have five months of school left.  Holy cow!

So anyway, our update.

CJ essentially finished up a semester, sort of.  What is typically one semester for traditional nursing students is half a semester for paramedic nursing students.  I think.  So he finished up 9 or so weeks of OB.  And he hated every moment of it, except for when he got to work at Methodist or Wishard (which was only like three times).  It was all pretty much a blur for both of us.  The last three weeks of the semester were the worst.  The first week, we saw each other for four (yeah, four - I really did count, I was so annoyed) hours during the entire week.  The week after that was like two.  The week after that, I'm not exactly sure, but it wasn't exactly a huge amount either.  Didn't help that we were both sick in the midst of it, so there were several days when we were home together, but just spent the entire day in bed or on the couch, ignoring the other person.

When I think about it, we're only surviving on prayer some days.  Which really, it's kind of all you need anyway...in my opinion.

I'm in the middle of an International Management class.  It's not so bad -- light reading each week, a big individual paper and presentation, and then a group paper tacked on at the end (but it's nothing like our group papers have previously been).  The midterm was rough -- all multiple choice, but it was one of those tests where you're given four answers and three of them could work.  Don't. Care. Though.

Anyway, I'm running out of blog fodder pretty quickly, so I'm hoping CJ can finish up two big projects this week while he doesn't have school or clinicals.  That'd be just super because then I could finally get the guest bedroom in some sort of working order...ten months later.

Heck, pretty soon it'll really be spring and I can get out and do some yard work.  I'm kinda excited about that.

Stay tuned.
