new business venture?

For awhile now, CJ and I have been toying with the idea of opening up a woodshop.  He'd make everything, and as for me, the future MBA holder, I'd run the business side of things.  This would be more of a hobby for us, with the proceeds going to buy wooden tools, supplies, lumber, etc.  (Because let's face it -- we're not poor by any means, but unless one of us gets a giant raise anytime soon, we can't afford to take this hobby any further.)

In the future, CJ would like to have his own separate wood shop and actually sell furniture.  We'd obviously need to be in our second home by that point, as this house just isn't large enough to support that kind of venture.

So for the time being, we're seriously contemplating setting up an Etsy shop.  I'm pretty much addicted to that site -- it takes all my willpower not to scoop up every cute thing I see -- and after looking at some people's shops, they've made decent money, even once you consider what Etsy skims off the top.  And I know a few people who have their own Etsy shops too and they obviously haven't quit yet, so it can't be that difficult, right?  (Stop me if you have an Etsy shop and think I'm totally off base here!)

We haven't figured out our niche yet, so what he's considering making for now would be children's toys, boxes (like keepsake boxes), shelves, and Noah's Ark and nativity sets.  If this does take off and he's able to buy more specialized tools, he'd like to make snowmen and maybe wooden bowls and candlesticks.

This is where you, my six faithful readers, come in.  We're in need of some cute names for our shop, and we're drawing a blank.

So ... Ready, set, go!
